Upon first-read, I fell for the awkward, messy, decidedly disastrous, yet fatefully unavoidable, encounter that is WATER AND DISCARDED HAIR. All the action may occur in less time than a serial television program, but it has a complete dramatic arch and is a hearty meal of a story. I'd worked with both Tracee (VAMP) & Will (CATEGORIES) before, and they are two of the most exciting actors I've met in New York thus far. I immediately pictured the two of them in these roles and suspected that the pairing would lead to a charged collaboration. What is missing from the documented footage in my reel (filmed by documentary filmmaker, Robert Fiore's production company, Persistent Pictures), is the O'Neill-influence: a 3rd character, the primordial presence of the sea, created through sound and light.
