Kel has directed and developed new work with such theatres as Manhattan Theatre Club, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Ars Nova, Cherry Lane Theatre, The Flea, Partial Comfort Productions, New Dramatists, New Georges, The Directors Company, 52nd Street Project, Ma-Yi Theater Company, Youngblood, Vampire Cowboys, 3Graces, Red Fern Theatre Company, Emerging Artists Theatre, Desipina & Company, NY Fringe Festival and Westport Country Playhouse.
She has collaborated with such playwrights as Robert Askins, Micheline Auger, Clare Barron, Nikole Beckwith, Jonathan Caren, Jonthan Ceniceroz, Laura Maria Censabella, Samantha Chanse, Carla Ching, Dustin Chinn, Naveen Behar Choudhury, Emily Conbere, Joshua Conkel, Kirby Fields, Dorothy Fortenberry, Mira Gibson, Nick Jones, Eric March, Anna Moench, Rehana Mirza, Mrinalini Kamath, Jon Kern, Patrick Link, Janine Nabers, Kyoung H. Park, Sharyn Rothstein, Erica Saleh, Matt Schatz, Crystal Skillman, Emily Chadick Weiss, Samuel Brett Williams and composers Michael Kooman & Nathan Leigh.
Kel has held assistantships with Doug Hughes, Lynne Meadow, Joanne Woodward & Charlotte Moore, among others. She has served as an a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab, Ensemble Studio Theatre Director in Residence, 2011 TS Eliot US/UK Exchange, and Jonathan Alper Directing Fellowship at Manhattan Theatre Club.
